本作は、ピーター・カラス氏による茶碗であり、荒々しい土肌に刻まれた景色は、まさに「炎の書」ともいうべき存在感を示しており、激しい力と究極の侘びが同居していると言える作品です。

This work is a tea bowl by Peter Callas, whose rugged clay surface bears landscapes that evoke what may be called a “script of fire.” It is a piece in which fierce energy and the ultimate sense of wabi coexist.Tea bowls by Peter Callas are included in the collections of major museums and galleries in Japan and the United States, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and have been highly acclaimed internationally.
